Bathgate
Two large detached houses responding to a significant change in level across a sensitive site in terms of building massing and scale due to the rural location, yet maximising the development footprint. The resultant design enabled double storey spaces between the living room and lower floor accommodation as the houses stepped down the site to reduce their visual impact upon the surrounding residential area.
